As you can see from our website we have a passion for HEMI engines.
I have an interest in HEMI powered v-drive boats / drag boats of any description or for that matter any HEMI marine powered vessels.
In 2005, I purchased a 1966 Hallet, 18 foot flat bottom V-drive boat which was located in California USA.
" Heat Wave" will undergo an engine transformation.
It started life with a BBC and will now be equipped with a Chrysler 392 HEMI engine.
The engine will be dressed with a BDS 6-71 Supercharger and the usual HOT
HEADS engine and dress up components.
I have been collecting HEMI marine items for this project for a number of years now and some Aussie hot rod friends visiting the USA in 2006 found some additional items for me.
Thanks for the wild exhaust system and marine hemi parts Craig and Tim.
Hopefully the boat have its dip in the water sometime in 2012.
VERY SPECIAL THANKS to Art Carlson in California in relation to this project.
Future pages will include details of HEMI related marine items and the " Heat Wave " engine installation and build up. Current engine in the boat is a dummy mock up fiberglass engine.
This page will also include links to other HEMI marine and drag boat related websites.
Many thanks to Scott Habr, my special thanks to Art Carlson , my late friend Ron Skala in the USA and to Tim Griffin and Craig Bisset regarding their assistance relating to the HEMI " Heat Wave " project.
Special mention to Bob Hernandez in California for the useful links that he has provided
